Gordon Llewellyn Design presents the textile designs of Gordon Llewellyn Bosch.
Frequently found with a paint brush in hand as he was growing up in South Africa with its abundant access to nature and the outdoors, he recalls being influenced by the colors and hazy views of wildlife on dusty plains, red rocks under a midday sun, and the deepening blue as a clear day slowly transformed into a translucent night.
Gordon was drawn to pattern design through his fascination with art and the patterns and structure in the natural world. A desire to create functional art led him to textiles and home decor, where many of these elements come together.
The designs begin as water color paintings on paper before being digitally transformed into seamless patterns and printed on high quality fabrics.
Gordon has a Certificate in Fine Art Techniques from Emily Carr University of Art and Design.
